ISOGEN is a widely used program for total automation of isometric drawing generation.
While CADWorx/Plant offers very good isometric generation, ISOGEN can generate perfect isometrics with near-zero clean-up. There are hundreds of switches that allow you to completely tailor your ISOGEN drawings.
One other advantage of using ISOGEN is that you can create groups of drawings and then open groups of isometrics all at one time. With CADWorx/Plant's auto-isometric utility, you have to individually import each PMI file.

4 Steps to Generating ISOGEN Drawings from CADWorx/Plant:
1) Run the ISOGEN Project Manager. This is where you control the drawing creation of ISOGEN. The basic setup of a project is very easy; click a few icons, select your drawing directories and format, then exit.
Several tabs are accessible for configuration directives.
2) Select ISOGEN-BATCH or ISOGEN-OUT to export ISOGEN drawings from CADWorx.
3) Select files to export.
4) Open the desired files in AutoCAD; DXF or DWG, as many at one time as you wish.

Do I have to buy a copy of ISOGEN for each seat of CADWorx?
CADWorx Plant Professional includes a license of ISOGEN. If you want to generate ISOGEN isometrics from a CADWorx model, ISOGEN must be activated on each and every seat of CADWorx. If not, the model components generated from the seats without ISOGEN active will not be recognized by the ISOGEN module.

No. ISOGEN is licensed for use on a specific modeling system and these licenses cannot be interchanged. This is a policy of Alias and applies to every modeling system outputting to ISOGEN.
